In the Werx | 001: ThunderBolt CMS & Package Builder - from checkout to your first edit
Date Published
Welcome back to In the Werx: short, plain-English notes on what we ship, what is in beta, and what is still on the drawing board.
ThunderBolt CMS is the editorial heart of our platform: one place to manage pages, posts, services, navigation, SEO, and (where your plan includes them) commerce and bookings. Every client site runs the same core blocks and layouts, so improvements roll out to everyone. Your difference is your content, theme, domains, and enabled features.
Package Builder is how many clients get started. You choose a web tier and optional add-ons, complete checkout, and our automation provisions your tenant: starter pages (such as Home, About, Services, Contact), a sensible default theme, and a CMS login scoped only to your organisation. You are not waiting weeks for an empty shell. You can log in and refine copy, imagery, and structure quickly.
That matters for cost and momentum: entry tiers are designed around a low monthly fee while you polish the site privately. When you are ready, you flip the public site to live (or we help you), still on the same stack, no migration to a “real” CMS later.
Also live today: managed security and backups (Anvil) on web plans, ThunderCloud client portal on Growth and Scale-style journeys, and the rest of the marketing surface you see on thunderwerx.co.uk, all backed by the same MongoDB and S3 media layer we described in our architecture notes, strictly separated per tenant.
Next in this series: Stormfront commerce in beta, then ThunderPOS (ePOS) in active development, so you know exactly what you can sell with today versus what is arriving soon.
